A 25 year-old man was found dead on an EVA Airways flight Wednesday while the aircraft was in the air, destined for the Indonesian capital of Jakarta, from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport.
The cause of death of the man, identified as Su Hsin-piao, could not be confirmed as of press time.
EVA Air said Su was sweating and having convulsions before passing out and showing no signs of life.
After being informed of the death, Taiwan's representative office in Indonesia immediately sent personnel to the airport in Jakarta to deal with the matter, according to the office.
Meanwhile, the Three Wheels Foundation, a charity organization formed by businesses operating in Indonesia, said that its members would help with the aftermath of Su's death.
The foundation has experience of handling deaths of Taiwan people in Indonesia and organizing their funerals there.
