Norse Atlantic Airways successfully completed a landmark flight between Norway and Darwin, Australia, chartered by Albastar S.A. and brokered by Aircontact, Scandinavia’s largest and leading air broker firm. This milestone marks the first time that a nonstop flight from Norway to Australia has taken place and highlights the efficiency of the state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and the operational excellence of the Norse Atlantic charter team.
Taking off at 0630 am on Saturday 3rd August from Oslo Gardermoen Airport and landing at Darwin International Airport 0600 am on Sunday 4th August, the non-stop flight covered approximately 14,730 kilometres with a flight time of 16.5 hours, showcasing the long-range performance and efficiency of the Boeing 787-9. The Dreamliner is uniquely suited to such extended flights, offering unparalleled passenger comfort, fuel efficiency, and environmental benefits.
