Leisure carrier Small Planet Airlines GmbH obtained their German Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) and will now operate flights under German registration. Small Planet Airlines Group began offering its services to the German market last autumn and from the first steps had a clear vision to establish an AOC in Germany. The German Small Planet Airlines has concluded agreements with two leading tour operators, TUI and Thomas Cook, and this summer plans to implement almost 800 flights.
“German market was a strategic step that Small Planet Group has considered for quite some time. Once the right partners with local expertise were found, company was ready to make the move. From the beginning there was the intention to establish a German air operators’ certificate and to operate flights under the German registration, basing aircraft at both main and regional airports across Germany. We are proud to say that our plans were fulfilled successfully and we can now move forward”, – Mr. Andreas Wobig, CEO of Small Planet Airlines GmbH, said.
