In December 2017 SmartLynx Airlines Ltd. signed a long-term wet lease agreement for 2018 with the German leisure airlines Condor Flugdienst GmbH.
According to the agreement between SmartLynx and Condor, SmartLynx will wet lease to CONDOR an Airbus A321 with Latvian Registration mark YL-LCQ /MSN 2211 from 7 January to 31 March 2018. The aircraft will operate from the base in Munich Airport (MUC), Germany.
Seating configuration of the aircraft – 220 Y all economy, MTOW 93.5 t.
The aircraft will fly to holiday destinations such as Rhodes, Tenerife, Lanzarote, Larnaca, Palma de Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, Malaga, Fuerteventura etc.

SmartLynx Airlines was founded in 1992 as a private airline and is the leading full-service ACMI (Aircraft-Crew-Maintenance-Insurance) provider on Airbus 320 in the EU with headquarters in Riga. Latvian and Estonian air carrier certificates have been granted to the airline. Being an EU airline, SmartLynx Airlines complies with international quality standards IOSA and EASA, and has access to the free route airspace.
SmartLynx Airlines specialises in providing leasing of its Airbus A320 fleet, as well as ensuring full charter operations for its home markets in Latvia and Estonia, predominantly in the leisure market. It also provides flight crew training.
The airline’s fleet consists of 13 Airbus A320 aircraft and 1 Airbus 321 aircraft, which ensure flights in Europe, Asia and Africa. SmartLynx flight crew members represent 17 nationalities, and on average its captains have more than 5,300 block hours and first officers more than 1,900 block hours of experience.
Overall the number of passengers transported by SmartLynx is rapidly increasing every year — in 2015 it reached 1.6 million, and in 2016 – 1.9 million. The company is rapidly growing and in 2016 its turnover increased by 18%, reaching EUR 108.4 million.
