Tigerair Australia is celebrating carrying its 20 millionth passenger since the now Virgin Australia-owned low-cost carrier began flying in 2007.
Passenger Sarah Del Medicio from Adelaide was presented with a $2,000 voucher for travel on the Tigerair network as the milestone passenger, when she flew aboard flight TT449 from Melbourne to Adelaide on Monday morning.
To celebrate the milestone, all 180 passengers on the flight were presented with a $20 voucher, while Tigerair has launched a ‘20,000 one way fares for $20’ sale for flights on its domestic network between late January and late March 2017.
“The 20 millionth passenger milestone is a significant achievement for Tigerair Australia which commenced operations in Australia in November 2007,” said Tigerair Australia CEO Rob Sharp, who was onboard the Melbourne-Adelaide flight.
“Tigerair Australia continues to go from strength to strength,” he said.
