Aeroflot is pleased to announce new service to six cities in Kazakhstan. The airline this week adds regularly scheduled flights from its Moscow hub to Astana, Almaty, Aktau, Atyrau, Aktobe and Shymkent.

In March 2014 Aeroflot received permission to re-enter the Kazakh market, and the airline began operating regular service between Moscow and Karaganda. Today’s announcement marks a significant expansion of Aeroflot’s offering for passengers traveling between Russia and Kazakhstan, as Aeroflot begins flying routes to Kazakhstan’s largest cities vacated by Transaero, which ceased operations on October 26.

All Aeroflot flights to Kazakhstan depart from Sheremetyevo Airport’s Terminal E and are serviced by modern and comfortable Airbus A320 family aircraft.

Daily flights between Moscow and Astana and daily flights between Moscow and Almaty began operating on 26 October. The schedule is as follows (note all times below are local times):

SU1956 — Departs Moscow 23:40, arrives Astana 6:10

SU1957 — Departs Astana 7:25, arrives Moscow 8:10

SU1946 — Departs Moscow 21:35, arrives Almaty 5:05

SU1947 — Departs Almaty 6:25, arrives Moscow 8:25

Service between Moscow and Aktau as well as service between Moscow and Aktrau began yesterday, October 28, and will operate every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday on the following schedule:

SU1954 — Departs Moscow 00:05, arrives Aktau 4:50

SU1955 — Departs Aktau 6:00, arrives Moscow 7:00

SU1958 — Departs Moscow 00:05, arrives Atyrau 4:50

SU1959 — Departs Atyrau 6:05, arrives Moscow 7:05

Note that flights SU1954/1955 and SU1958/1959 will not operate on 1 January 2016.

Service between Moscow and Aktobe began today, October 29, and will operate every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday on the following schedule:

SU1948 — Departs Moscow 00.05, arrives Aktobe 4:40

SU1949 — Departs Aktobe 6:00, arrives Moscow 6:40

Service between Moscow and Shymkent begins October 31, and will operate three times per week on the following schedule:

SU1950 — Departs Moscow every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 22:25, arrives Shymkent 5:10 the following day

SU1951 — Departs Shymkent every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 6:10, arrives Moscow 7:25.
