Ready to start - Airport of Serbia Ltd is launching during first two weeks of February.
The main task of "Airports of Serbia" - to manage, develop and maintain airports infrastructure in Serbia. That means finding solutions for the use of already existing major military and mixed airports in Serbia for passenger and cargo transportation. But also construction of new airports and small airports safety improvement.
The establishment of civil aviation traffic at Morava Airport in Kraljevo will be the first task of new company. Air Serbia will have an ATR-72 based there.
At the first stage the company will be funded by Republic of Serbia. A 10 million budget is already dedicated to that.
Company's corporate headquarters will be at Nikola Tesla Airport. "Airports of Serbia" will start with two employees, including Predrag Babic as the director, appointed by Government of Serbia. Previously he was responsible for the investment sector of Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport. The management of Nikola Tesla Airport will provide any necessary assistance to the newly formed company.
