The executive director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, Maya Lomidze, said that charter flights between Russia and Turkey will not be reinstated in the current year.

She said that during the talk between a delegation from Turkey and the management of relevant Russian departments, the Russian side raised the matter of safety of tourists, News.am reports.

As a result, the sides decided that Turkey will provide a list of dangerous places for tourists.

According to Lomidze, the recent military coup attempt in Turkey had a strong negative impact on Russian citizens’ wish to spend their vacation in that country. Moreover, there is a reduced demand for traveling to Turkey.
