Following a bloody massacre on streets of Paris on 13 November, killing at least 150 people, the French President Francois Hollande announced a state of emergency and ordered to close all borders. At the same time, Paris Charles de Gaulle airport remains open, international airlines didn’t officially report any changes in schedules.

“An unprecedented terrorist attack is underway. This is horror”, – that is how the French President Francois Hollande described mass terroristic attack on streets of the French capital. Approx. 150 people are already reported dead after shootings and bombings in several places across Paris. The terrorist group ISIL is reported to take the responsibility for the terrorist attack.

Several airlines, including Delta Airlines, has reported that as of 01:00 French time there were no changes in schedule, and Charles de Gaulle airport kept accepting and sending aircraft. At the same time, Orly airport is not operating, however it was closed due technical malfunctions several hours before the deadly terrorist attacks.

Meantime, some media reported that major airlines, including American Airlines, are putting on hold or redirecting their Paris flights to other French airports. However, as of 02:00 CET, AA’s official page stated that the flights will be conducted as planned. Lufthansa’s Frankfurt-Paris flights, for example, are also to be conducted on schedule.

In addition, several media quoted the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs that airports and trains will remain operating despite the state of emergency and closed borders.
