Flydubai has launched two new flights to Nizhny Novgorod and Novosibirsk, Russia, making it the first Dubai-based airline to serve these destinations.

The two routes were launched this week, with flights to Novosibirsk operating three times a week, and Nizhny Novgorod twice a week.

Flydubai first launched flights to Russia in 2010 and the airline aims to grow its network in the area and opening up previously unserved destinations.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, chief executive officer of Flydubai said: “We are committed to growing our network in the market. The new flights to Nizhny Novgorod and Novosibirsk will provide passengers from the UAE and Russia with an accessible means to explore both countries.”

Flydubai also serve Kazan, Krasnodar, Mineralnye Vody, Moscow, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Ufa and Yekaterinburg in Russia.

Connecting the two destinations will give opportunity for the Russian expatriate community in Dubai to visit family and friends with ease.
