An Aer Lingus flight had to make an emergency landing shortly after takeoff after experiencing hydraulic issues.

Aer Lingus flight #110 departed JFK at 7:15 p.m. to Shannon, Ireland returned to JFK at 7:30 p.m.

The Boeing 757 reported hydraulic failure, landing gear door problems, and no flaps.

The plane came in faster than normal and landed runway 22 left.

ARFF trucks are on scene as the brakes over heated and there was a smoke condition in the landing gear compartment.

There was a fire to the left rear brakes that has since been extinguished by aircraft rescue and firefighters.

The passengers were off loaded into Port Authority buses to be transported to the terminal.

The plane is connected to a tug for removal.
