As of next Tuesday, Manchester and Madrid will be closer than ever. The Iberia Group, through its low cost carrier Iberia Express, will launch its flights between both cities. Until the end of October the airline will operate flights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, and throughout the winter season will fly twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Airbus A320s with 180 seats in Economy and Business classes will operate this new route. The Iberia Group currently operates 176 weekly flights to the British airports of Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton, Edinburgh, and Manchester, as well as also direct flights from some of these airports to Gran Canaria, Majorca, Tenerife, and Vigo. All Iberia Group flights between the UK and Spain are offered under code-share with the British Airways. Members of the British Airways Executive Club FF programme can also earn and redeem Avios when they fly with Iberia.
