Jetstar Pacific, a low-cost airline headquartered in Vietnam, has started non-stop flights from Macao to Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City, offering schedule service on every Tuesday and Saturday.
The direct route will facilitate exchanges of residents and visitors, and further enhance links between the two places in economy, trade and culture, said Simon Chan, president of Macao Civil Aviation Authority, in the inaugural flight ceremony on Tuesday.
Eric Fong with Macao International Airport said they will continue working with Jetstar Pacific to explore opportunities, strengthen co-operation and further expand Macao air service network.
Jetstar Pacific currently operates double daily flight service from Macao to Danang, and twice weekly service from Macao to Haiphong.
