The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) has announced that it will be signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Abu Dhabi Airports.

The MoU will assist cooperation and information exchange between the two organisations, covering satellite imagery applications, knowledge and experience transfer, and human resources development.

The MoU will see the two organisations working together to conduct technical studies into Abu Dhabi Airports' current and future requirements, as well as sharing and obtaining data and technologies to complete the geographic information system database.

Engineer Salem Humaid Al Marri, Assistant Director General for Scientific and Technical Affairs at MBRSC, said: “The signing of this MoU with Abu Dhabi Airports falls under the Centre's strategy in building bridges of cooperation with various government and non-governmental institutions around the UAE. It’s important that we continuously establish long lasting partnerships that benefit the country.”

The MBRSC aims to promote scientific innovation in Dubai and the UAE. One of its main priorities currently is the design, implementation and supervision of the launch of the “Hope Probe” to Mars.
