It's learned from Shandong Airlines the first service linking Shandong Province with India is expected to be launched within this year, increasing the Jinan-based carrier's international and regional routes to 17 and expanding its outbound travel market.

Shandong Airlines currently operates 16 international and strait-crossing routes (including 5 toward Japan and South Korea), transporting over 300,000 passengers every year.

Besides, the carrier has been developing its capacity on Shandong-Taiwan services for several years. There are 38 flights each week from Jinan, Qingdao and Yantai to Taipei, Taichung and Hualien, serving about 230,000 travelers in 2014.

Shandong Airlines becomes the main carrier between Shandong and Taiwan, promoting the economic and trade exchanges between both sides.
