Thomas Cook will tomorrow, 23 March, launch Summer 2018 with an exciting range of new destinations to choose from. These include the Olympus Riviera in Greece, which is exclusive to Thomas Cook in the UK, as well as Golden Sands in Bulgaria, Spain’s Costa Brava and Madeira.

As well as new destinations, Thomas Cook is offering customers seven new own-brand hotels to choose from including two new SENTIDO resorts. In addition, Thomas Cook Airlines is introducing 17 new flight routes, both to existing destinations and to new destinations including Varna, Funchal and Gerona. The airline is also increasing its flight frequency on existing routes from a number of regional airports including Newcastle and Belfast.

Chris Mottershead, Managing Director at Thomas Cook UK said: “Our new destinations for summer 2018 offer a good mix of holiday types. We’re expecting a revitalisation in the traditional package holiday destination of Costa Brava and we’ve worked hard to secure some of the best quality hotels for our customers. We also think Madeira’s array of local dining options and natural beauty will bring it higher up the wish-list for those customers looking for something other than all-inclusive next year. Plus with Greece being so popular this summer, the addition of the stunning Olympus Riviera means there will be even more options.

“We know that customers want to be able to fly from their local airports so we’re also adding new flight routes to a number of regional airports, as well as increasing the frequency of existing ones.”

OLYMPUS RIVIERA

With Greece bookings up more than 40% year on year across the Group, Thomas Cook will be offering this brand new destination on the Greek mainland, that is exclusive to Thomas Cook in the UK, and with flying into Thessaloniki available from Manchester and Birmingham.

The pretty coastal town of Paralia offers stunning scenery and views of Mount Olympus, the mythical dwelling place of the Olympian Gods, including Zeus, Apollo and Aphrodite. The new SENTIDO Mediterranean Village Hotel & Spa is in a unique location, with the resort’s long sandy beach directly in front of the rooms and magnificent views of Mount Olympus

Lead-in: Seven nights at the four star SENTIDO Mediterranean Village Hotel & Spa on a half board basis, from £645 per person, departing from Manchester on 02 May 2018 on Thomas Cook Airlines.

GOLDEN SANDS, BULGARIA

With UK sales up 27% year on year for Bulgaria, Thomas Cook is adding the resort of Golden Sands, based on flights to Varna, from Manchester and Birmingham to compliment it’s programme into Bourgas.

Golden Sands offers a range of quality all-inclusive hotels, including the new SENTIDO Marea, to appeal to both families and adults, many of which offer 24 hour and premium all-inclusive offering. The resort also boasts a Blue Flag beach.

Lead-in: Seven nights at the four star SENTIDO Merea on an all-inclusive basis, from £729 per person, departing from London Gatwick on 29 May 2018 on Thomas Cook Airlines

COSTA BRAVA

The “classic” Costa Brava was first offered to Thomas Cook customers in 1949 who travelled by steamer and rail. It was last featured in 2009 and has been re-introduced for 2018 with three flights a week from Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol, and a revitalised product range that includes four hotels in the resorts of Tossa de Mar and Lloret de Mar which are exclusive to Thomas Cook in the UK. All of the hotels featured are within the top 15 on Trip Advisor, and within their respective resorts, many in the top five.

Lead-in: Seven nights at the four star Evenia Olympic Park Hotel in Lloret de Mar on an all-inclusive basis, from £665 per person, departing from Birmingham on 18 May 2018 on Thomas Cook Airlines.

MADEIRA

In recent years Madeira has become more fashionable with younger holidaymakers, so has been re-introduced to appeal to travellers who prefer to savour Madeira’s renowned gastronomy by eating out in local restaurants, rather than an all-inclusive stay.

Previously a summer only destination, it will now be available year round, and two flights a week have been introduced from Manchester.

Lead-in: Seven nights at the four star Porto Santa Maria in Funchal on a bed and breakfast basis, from £939 per person, departing from Manchester on 17 September 2018 on Thomas Cook Airlines.
