ASD Avia Consulting signs with Argos VIP to obtain the IS-BAH Standard accreditation across its FBO network in Italy

ASD Avia Consulting is pleased to announce that Argos VIP and its entire network of Fixed Base Operation (FBOs) facilities across Italy have chosen ASD Avia Consulting to handle their IS-BAH™ Standard (International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling) accreditation from the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC). Argos VIP operates 15 FBO facilities in Italy, all of which operate under one unified safety and quality management system.

The Auditing of each FBO will take place within the next months, starting with the Station in Milan Linate in November, 2017.

The International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH) is a set of global industry best practices for business aviation ground handlers, which features at its core a safety management system (SMS). IS-BAH follows the structure of the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) Program and incorporates the NATA Safety 1st Ground Audit Program. IS-BAH is the global industry standard for handlers and operators around the world to meet the coming SMS requirements from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

IS-BAH offers Fixed Based Operators (FBO) and Business Aircraft Handling Agents (BAHA) a scalable, industry-developed code of best practice centered around Safety Management System (SMS) principles adopted by ICAO and other operations-critical industries. Conforming to these standards and recommended practices is voluntary.

ASD Avia Consulting is an independent Audit company specialized in Part-145 Audits for Maintenance Organization, Audits for FBO and Operators. Since November 2015 the consultancy has been authorized by IBAC to carry out IS-BAH Audits.

For the last few years ASD Aviation Consulting has supported several FBOs in complying with IS-BAH registration requirements and assisted clients in fulfilling the safety and quality standards.
