Avinco to manage and remarket 21 ex-CHC H225 fleet

Avinco was recently awarded the largest contract of its kind, in charge of recovering, managing and remarketing a fleet of H 225 superpumas previously operated by CHC following the operator’s filing for Chapter 11.
Further to the lengthy and complex initial phase consisting of centralising 21 machines spread about the world to one European location, last week's news of EASA’s ban lift on H225’s means Avinco will now make the helicopters available to the market in 2017.

"Finding new homes for these aircraft will take creativity and good use of our network and knowledge off all helicopter operations worldwide. But we are very happy to see the 225 flying again and we are confident we can take up the challenge and assist our customers to place these helicopters in spite of a more than difficult market."
Out of the 21 units manufactured between 2007 and 2012, 3 are in SAR configuration and 18 in Oil and Gas configuration. TBC
These aircraft can be operated in a variety of markets, and Avinco can offer light to complex modifications and recertifications for any type of new operations.
