Even though airlines have gone from offline to online to sell tickets, charter business still largely is carried out offline. But the trend is set to change.

On Monday Baron Aviation announced launch of BookMyCharters, a website that promises customers domestic charter bookings in sixty seconds.

JetSetGo, an online charter aggregator, also announced second round of funding for its expansion.

The company did not disclose the amount. JetSetGo intends to increase ground presence in key airports and roll out new services.

Baron Aviation chairperson Rajeev Wadhwa said the website will offer benefits to both customers and jet owners like instant rates, assured availability of aircraft and ability to book round the clock. He expects the domestic charter industry to grow from current Rs 1800 crore to about Rs 5,000 crore by 2020.

"We are expecting an incremental growth of 30% for our website. Growth is expected from metros as well non metros and from foreign tourists," Wadhwa added.
