DC Aviation has introduced a programme for rapid Covid-19 pre-flight virus testing for the crew and flight support personnel. The measure was introduced to bring a new level of safety and ensure that passengers have the knowledge that DC Aviation is leading the way to ensure they can travel safely. Crews and support staff are tested in a constant Covid-19 test cycle. Anyone who tests positive for the virus does not participate in flights and immediately enters a phase of self-isolation.
The test programme was introduced on the initiative of Dr. Lutz Helmig, the owner of DC Aviation. Dr. Helmig, a well renowned physician, who is known in Germany for founding the Helios hospital group, the largest private hospital group in Europe.
DC Aviation's entry formalities have also been adapted to take account of social distance. Security measures for passengers have top priority at all times. Gloves, masks and hand disinfectants are mandatory and available at every stage of the flight, from arrival to disembarkation. All DC Aviation aircraft undergo an intensified cleaning and disinfection process after each flight.
Commenting on the introduction of the Covid-19 test programme, Michael Kuhn, CEO of DC Aviation, said: "The health and safety of our passengers and crew is of paramount importance. We introduced the test programme to ensure the safety of passengers and to give them the assurance that we are doing everything to create the safest possible travel environment for them. All DC Aviation aircraft are equipped with hygiene and protective equipment and we are fully conversant with the correct and current hygiene guidelines for air travel. We firmly believe in delivering the most effective solutions and this exemplary initiative is another step forward in ensuring the highest safety standards for our passengers and crews".
