The recently announced joint venture between Cotswold Helicopter Service and Gama Aviation has now named the base manager to lead their new Fairoaks base.  Alex Hoff, with 7,000 hours flying experience, will be leading the new office when it opens in the next few weeks.  His experience across helicopter types includes Robinson R22/R44, Bell JetRanger, LongRanger and 407, Airbus H120, Gazelle and AS355, and the Leonardo AW109.

Hoff's plans for the new operation extend from training using a Guimbal Cabri G2 to a wide range of charter work, including interlining opportunities for corporate jets operated by Gama Aviation.  This new dimension to the Gama Aviation portfolio will ensure that their customers can be flown direct to a central London heliport.  The range of helicopters offered is expected to include both the Robinson R44 and Bell JetRanger in the near future, and other types in the medium term.  Further services including helipad planning, advising customers on purchase and operating costs and

The Cotswold office adjoins the main Gama Aviation hangar at Fairoaks Airport and will allow all the helicopters operated to be hangared at night.  Operations are expected to  commence in the next three weeks with training bookings for these open immediately via: www.flychc.com

Cotswold Helicopter Centre has been established over 10 years, operating at Cotswold Airport - also known as Kemble - and is well placed for Cheltenham, Gloucester, Bristol, Bath, Swindon and Oxford.  It is the exclusive UK distributor for the French manufacturer Helicoptères Guimbal, a busy professional flight training school and AOC holder for charter work.  A second training base opens at Fairoaks Airport in mid 2016.  Our fleet consists of seven Guimbal G2 Cabri helicopters, one Robinson R44, an Airbus AS350B2 Squirrel and an Airbus AS355 Twin Squirrel.  We offer Cabri helicopters both for sale and on attractive lease terms for UK flying schools.
