Flexjet receives first-ever Embraer Praetor 600E as fleet launch customer

Embraer delivered the first Praetor 600E to Flexjet, marking the operator as the launch fleet customer for Embraer’s latest-generation super-midsize business jet. The inaugural aircraft joins Flexjet’s fleet equipped with Embraer’s exclusive Smart Window™, featuring a 42-inch 4K OLED display that supports video conferencing, high-definition content streaming, and real-time exterior views through three externally mounted cameras.

Introduced alongside the Praetor 500E in February, the enhanced E-series aircraft bring a range of innovations aimed at further elevating the passenger experience. The Praetor 600E secured triple certification from Brazil’s ANAC, the U.S. FAA, and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in April 2026, followed by the Praetor 500E in June 2026, clearing the path for both aircraft to enter service.

The partnership between Embraer and Flexjet spans more than two decades, dating back to 2003, and has been defined by a series of significant milestones. Among them was Flexjet’s selection as the fleet launch customer for the Praetor 500 and Praetor 600 in 2019.

In February 2025, the companies further strengthened their relationship with a landmark agreement valued at up to USD 7 billion. The deal included a firm order for 182 aircraft, options for 30 additional jets, and an expanded services and support package. The delivery of the first Praetor 600E represents the latest achievement under this agreement. It will be followed by the entry of the Praetor 500E into Flexjet’s fleet in the fourth quarter of 2026, when the company is also set to become the launch fleet customer for that aircraft.

With an intercontinental range of 4,018 nautical miles (7,441 km), accommodating four passengers and NBAA IFR reserves, the Praetor 600E is capable of connecting key global business destinations nonstop, including London and New York, as well as São Paulo and Miami. The aircraft introduces a completely redesigned cabin, featuring newly developed Embraer seats, an advanced Cabin Management System (CMS), and a suite of next-generation technologies aimed at enhancing passenger comfort, productivity, and connectivity.

The first aircraft delivered to Flexjet is equipped with Embraer’s exclusive Smart Window™, a feature selected for the inaugural Praetor 600E. Centered around a 42-inch 4K OLED touchscreen display, the system supports video conferencing, high-definition content streaming, and live external viewing through three strategically mounted exterior cameras. Combined with an optional divan configuration, the Smart Window creates a flexible environment tailored for both business and leisure. The aircraft also incorporates an upgraded galley, offering improved functionality and convenience throughout the cabin.

In the cockpit, the Praetor 600E is equipped with Embraer’s advanced avionics suite, including class-exclusive full fly-by-wire technology with active turbulence reduction, the Embraer Enhanced Vision System (E2VS), and the Runway Overrun Awareness and Alerting System (ROAAS). Together, these technologies contribute to smoother flight operations, reduced pilot workload, greater situational awareness, and increased operational capability across a wide range of missions.
