Viasat, a global leader in satellite communications, has enhanced its JetXP business aviation connectivity service with a simplified three-tier plan structure and, for the first time, published suggested retail pricing.Available across Honeywell JetWave and JetWave X as well as Gogo Plane Simple Ka terminals, the new plans range from light-use packages to unlimited connectivity. The updated offerings deliver greater value and more competitive pricing, leveraging the increased capacity of Viasat's expanded global network.
To improve transparency, Viasat is also introducing Manufacturer Suggested Retail Prices (MSRPs) for JetWave X and Plane Simple Ka plans. Unlimited connectivity packages start at under $11,000 per month, with fixed pricing throughout the service agreement, providing operators with greater cost certainty.
The new structure was developed in response to customer and partner feedback calling for simpler, more transparent connectivity options. This aligns with findings from the 2026 Corporate Jet Investor In-Flight Connectivity Survey, where 42% of respondents cited complex and inflexible service plans as a key frustration.
The announcement follows the full deployment of the ViaSat-3 constellation, with the recent entry into service of ViaSat-3 F2 in the Americas and F3 in Asia-Pacific. Together with F1, the satellites have tripled network bandwidth and use advanced beamforming technology to deliver consistent, high-quality connectivity to business aircraft across the globe.
Don Buchman, President of Aviation, Viasat commented: "Business aviation operators have told us clearly that they want in-flight connectivity they can rely on and pricing they can plan around. With our most advanced global satellites now fully operational, we can offer both. At a time when operators are navigating unpredictable pricing elsewhere in the market, offering fixed-term plans with suggested retail pricing reinforces our commitment to being a partner operators can continue to trust, not just for performance, but for certainty."
At NBAA-BACE 2026 in Las Vegas, Viasat will spotlight its JetXP in-flight connectivity solution, now powering connectivity on more than 2,100 aircraft globally. Visitors to West Hall Booth 2035 from October 20-22 will have the opportunity to learn more about the newly simplified service plans and transparent pricing structure, set to launch on January 1, 2027.
