During 50skyshades recent visit to Baku, in order to get to know the aviation industry of Azerbaijan republic, we had a chance to meet SW Business Aviation company (a part of Silk Way Group), to see by ourselves the infrastructure, discuss with the management their results of 2015 and future plans. Talking to General Director Boyukagha Guliyev, we found out that company is ready to say goodbye to its vintage Boeing Business Jet 727-200 (727-251 / WL). Aircraft 1981 issue has an exclusive VIP-lounge, designed to carry 65 passengers.

In 2014, the cabin was completely refurbished, and in June 2015 the aircraft got overhaul. However, the company also offers aircraft engines PW JT8D-15. SW Business Aviation operated this aircraft from September 2007. This popular vintage Jet had many various delegations on board, sports teams and show business stars.

After the sale of Boeing 727-200 SW Business Aviation fleet will in fact become practically mono-brand. The company will operate exclusively Gulfstream business jet: G650, G550, G450, G200 and G280, and an exception - ATR 42-500 in the VIP-arrangement.

Founded in 2007, SW Business Aviation (Silk Way Business Aviation) is one of the largest operators in Caspian region. The company is based at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, Baku, Azerbaijan Republic. In 2014, the operator increased its traffic by 30% due operating two new super business jets Gulfstream G280. TOP destinations from Baku - Moscow, London, Dubai, and Istanbul. As a member of EBAA, the company guarantees the compliance of its fleet with all international standards. The company now employs about 100 people.
