Jet Aviation Flight Services has added the first Airbus corporate jet certificated for U.S. Part 135 to its air carrier certificate.
The Airbus ACJ318 has an ultra-wide cabin and can accommodate up to 18 passengers, providing freedom of movement and comfort for long-distance trips. With a range of up to 4,200 nautical miles (7,800 km), the ACJ318 is outfitted with a tasteful corporate VIP interior and, in addition to the essential passenger amenities, includes a Honeywell Cabin Management System. The entertainment system features Airshow and a DVD player with multiple monitors throughout the cabin.
“Airbus corporate jets are already popular with VVIP charter customers in Asia, Europe and the Middle East, so the introduction of the ACJ318 to the North American market is a welcome addition that brings a wider choice and better travel experience,” says managing director Airbus Corporate Jets Benoit Defforge.
“We are delighted to be adding the first N-registered Airbus ACJ318 to our Part 135 air carrier certificate. It is a tremendous benefit to our customers to have access to such an aircraft when traveling with many passengers over long distances,” said Don Haloburdo, vice president and general manager Jet Aviation Flight Services. “Our team works diligently to expand our charter fleet and provide charter options to meet our customer needs. It is our pleasure to offer our clients one of the largest aircraft in the market for long-range charter trips.”
