Jet Aviation will provide a supply of sustainable aviation fuel  at its Zurich FBO during the World Economic Forum 2025.  This is the fourth year that Jet Aviation has worked with Zurich Airport to have SAF available on-site for visitors during WEF. Jet Aviation was the first company to make SAF available for purchase in Switzerland, in a pilot scheme in Zurich during WEF 2020. Since then, the company has offered on-site SAF for WEF 2023, and 2024, and via Book & Claim in 2022.

Joao Martins, vice president regional FBO operations Europe and General Manager Zurich commented: “We are delighted to be able to offer SAF on-site again during the World Economic Forum in Davos. We promise our customers a seamless experience, and this includes offering more sustainable choices, such as access to SAF. We are incredibly proud to be able to provide this choice at all of our sites in Switzerland, either via temporary on-site supplies for key events in Zurich and Geneva, or with a permanent supply at our headquarters in Basel.”

Jeremie Caillet, president stated: “We are committed to working with our partners to continue to broaden access to SAF as part of our efforts towards reducing our industry’s carbon footprint. Our work to bring SAF to our sites in Switzerland, including Zurich and Basel, is part of an ongoing collaboration with our partners to offer physical SAF to customers across our global network. Today, we have 12 sites offering on-site SAF, in addition to Book & Claim available anywhere in the world, and we continue to look for opportunities to grow this offering where it makes most environmental sense.”

SAF has the potential to reduce aviation’s greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80% over its lifecycle. It is a fully compliant, drop-in Jet A/A-1 fuel with the same characteristics and specifications as conventional jet fuel.

Emanuel Fleuti, head sustainability & environment at Flughafen Zürich AG added: “Jet Aviation’s commitment to offer WEF participants more sustainable fuel options deserves our support. Wherever possible, we want to contribute to the availability of renewable fuels on the market. SAF is an important piece of the puzzle in the decarbonization of the aviation industry and shows immediate benefits.”

In 2019, Jet Aviation was the first supplier to offer sustainable fuel via a blended fuel option at Van Nuys Airport, California. In 2020, the company brought a temporary supply of SAF to Switzerland for the World Economic Forum and in 2021 a permanent supply of SAF was introduced in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, followed by Singapore in 2022, Rotterdam, the Netherlands, Scottsdale, Arizona, and Bozeman, Montana, in 2023, and Dallas, Texas, Houston, Texas, Palm Beach, Florida, Bedford, Massachusetts, and Teterboro, New Jersey, and Basel, Switzerland in January 2025. SAF will also be available at the company’s new FBO at Miami-Opa Locka upon operation.
