Jet Aviation recently completed and delivered its second 8C inspection at its MRO facility in Singapore this year. As with its first 8C overhaul, the company completed the heavy inspection in conjunction with a full interior refurbishment.
Jet Aviation's MRO facility at Seletar Aerospace Park in Singapore completed and delivered its second 8C inspection in 2016, also on a Bombardier Global Express XRS, to a customer earlier this month. To maximize the aircraft's downtime, the comprehensive heavy maintenance inspection, which requires dismantling, reassembly and landing gear overhaul, was done in conjunction with a full interior refurbishment.
The interior refurbishment included replacement of the carpet, sidewalls and headliner, in addition to complete refurbishment of the veneer with a richly stained and coated 'Quartered Mozambique' in brown maple. With bespoke carpet designs, a rare sidewall treatment and light neutral tones per the owner's specifications, the entire cabin interior was transformed.
Vice president and general manager John Riggir said, “The entire team handled this project with great enthusiasm and cohesion, and drew on their experience from the first 8C inspection completed earlier this year. The result is impressive; another notable milestone for the Singapore team.”
Earlier this year, Jet Aviation's maintenance facility in Singapore delivered Asia Pacific's first 8C inspection on a Bombardier Global Express.
