Jet Aviation announced that its brand-new FBO at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport is fully operational. The 27-acre facility features a state-of-the-art, 8,500 square-foot terminal, 40,000 square feet of new hangarage, and a wide range of customer amenities. The opening was celebrated at an on-site event hosted by Jet Aviation on Thursday, July 23, and attended by Jet Aviation President Jeremie Caillet, Senior Vice President & GM Americas David Best, and guests including key partners and valued customers.

The company launched initial operations at the site in November 2025 with a temporary terminal building. Today, the facility features a brand-new 8,500 square-foot FBO building, 40,000 square feet of new hangarage with 30-foot doors for aircraft parking, a 540,000 square-foot ramp able to accommodate larger-cabin, ultra-long range business jets, two taxiway connections into the airport system, fueling with Jet-A, 100LL and sustainable aviation fuel, and drive-on access to the ramp via a private entrance. On-site Customs and Border Protection is scheduled to open in Q3 2026 to enable efficient and streamlined processing of international travelers.

Jet Aviation President Jeremie Caillet commented: “Our entry into Miami-Opa Locka marks a significant milestone for Jet Aviation. As one of the busiest business aviation gateways in the Americas, Miami is a key destination for customers around the world, connecting them to North America, Latin America, the Caribbean, and beyond. Bringing the Jet Aviation experience to the city reinforces our commitment to meeting the evolving needs of our global customers wherever they are based, and wherever they fly. We look forward to welcoming them to this dynamic destination and to continuing to deliver the seamless, world-class service they expect as their partner of choice across all aspects of business aviation ownership and operation.”

The modern architecture and interior design draw on a classic Miami aesthetic, with an open-plan layout and floor-to-ceiling windows providing unobstructed airside views to the ramp and runway. A range of amenities includes dedicated office spaces, guest and crew lounge areas, and a private conference room. The facility is built to LEED standards and integrates features such as solar panels, low-flow water features, LED lighting, availability of AV and EV chargers, and sustainable construction methodologies

Senior Vice President & GM Americas David Best stated: “As our 12th FBO in the US, and one of the top five busiest business aviation destinations in the region, Miami is an important step in continuing to grow our network and services where our customers want us to be.We are very proud to establish our presence here with a thoughtfully curated FBO facility that reflects our brand and the dynamic energy of the local market. I would like to thank the teams involved, both those working on the build, and those bringing the experience to life on the ground, as well as the local government, airport officials, and industry and local partners for their support – we look forward to continuing our journey with you.”

Jet Aviation has had a presence in South Florida since opening an FBO in Palm Beach in 1985. Today the company operates 12 FBOs in the US, as part of a network of some 30 worldwide, and recently announced the signing of a long-term lease for an FBO at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport, scheduled to launch in 2028.
