The Federal Civil Aviation Agency of Mexico (AFAC) has authorized maintenance services in Basel, Geneva, and Zurich. The approval allows for the entire scope of line and base maintenance services on Gulfstream, Airbus, Boeing, Dassault, and Bombardier platforms, including full cabin refurbishments. Mexico is one of the largest business aviation markets in the Americas, and many operators travel through Europe frequently.

Chelaka Mallawa Arachchi, AOG Duty Manager, said:“We already performed a drop-in software update on a Gulfstream G650 for a Mexican customer in Basel on short notice and are looking forward to provide additional scheduled maintenance services to the customer’s aircraft in the near future.”

Stefan Buschle, Head of MRO Sales, is happy about the new business opportunities the approval creates for Jet Aviation: “This has been in the works for quite some time. We have established a good relationship with our launch customer in the past, and he was very helpful in navigating the approval process with the Mexican authorities. This is the perfect example of how an excellent customer service experience with one of our lines of business can create opportunities for other lines of business within the Jet Aviation network. Our launch customer has enjoyed the seamless services provided by our FBO in Geneva, so he wanted to make use of our MRO services, too. This is very encouraging for us to look into other markets as well, so we can optimize the availability of maintenance services for customers across the Jet Aviation network.”
