Jet Aviation has successfully obtained approval from the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA) for its line maintenance repair station in Zurich. The facility is authorized to perform line maintenance on a range of business aircraft. Jet Aviation launched line maintenance in Zurich in May 2022, under a temporary extension of the company’s Basel site authorizations. Following a successful audit by FOCA in early 2023, the facility is now fully approved for line maintenance on a range of business jets.

Cyril Martiniere, Jet Aviation’s VP MRO Services Europe & GM Basel, commented: “We are delighted to add Zurich to our European maintenance network on an ongoing basis. Zurich is a key hub for our customers and providing permanent line maintenance on-site was a natural next step in our commitment to an effortless maintenance experience in Europe and beyond.”

Stefan Verkaik, director of Aftermarket Services & AOG, said: “The station has been very well received by our customers, who appreciate the opportunity for line maintenance on-site. The audit was a fantastic opportunity to continue strengthening this service in Zurich, and ensure efficient, safe and seamless on-site line maintenance for customers visiting our facility.”

Jet Aviation established a presence at Zurich Airport in 1969. In June 2021, the site was expanded via the acquisition of the former ExecuJet Zurich FBO facilities. The acquisition added a multifunctional, state of-the-art terminal for passengers and crews, a 2,500 square-meter hangar adjacent to the terminal, a second near-5,000 square-meter arched hangar, and two approximately 5,000 square-meter private ramps to the company’s existing Zurich footprint. Jet Aviation offers base maintenance in Basel, Geneva, Dubai, and Singapore, and AOG services worldwide.
