Jetsmarter the corporate jet charter company has branched out into the helicopter sector in New York (NYC) offering free helicopter journeys between Manhattan and high-society playground The Hamptons. The service will commence on 6 May so will cross the Memorial Day Weekend and will finish on 2 October.

The company will run a scheduled service between the two dates between the destinations.

Each transfer will be on a new Bell 407 or a Bell 407-GX and can seat up to six passengers. Through JetSmarter’s membership program that costs $9,675 annually along with a one-time $3,500 initiation fee the first seat on the Helicopter transfer is free.

Reservations for the Helicopter service can be made through the JetSmarter app, available for iOS and Android devices. Jetsmarter created an Uber-style corporate jet booking service in Europe in March through its app. It allows customers to book empty seats on private flights for as little as £150.
