JetSuite has added the Embraer 135LR jet to its existing fleet of Phenom 100s and CJ3s. The company has agreed to purchase 10 EMB-135 aircraft from the manufacturer. The first has already been delivered and the tenth will be delivered by mid-2017.
The new, larger 30-seat aircraft will be available for bookings from 4 April with charter flights beginning this month.
The economics of the larger aircraft mean that it can be chartered for only $8,000 per hour (plus FET), which equates to less than $300 per seat per hour for 30 passengers.
Alex Wilcox, chief executive of JetSuite, said: “Many of our customers have been asking us to provide the JetSuite experience in an aircraft with more seats and longer range, and we’ve listened. But it’s even more exciting to offer the larger plane at such a price point.”
Paulo Cesar Silva, president and chief executive of Embraer Commercial Aviation, added: “Embraer is glad to enhance the existing partnership with JetSuite. The company will enjoy the robustness of this excellent product, with the best technical and economic conditions.”
