MedAire will be exhibiting at LABACE in São Paulo, 8-10 August, will be demonstrating its Digital Assessment Kit and co-exhibiting with Aerosafety, an International SOS company, as is MedAire. Together the companies serve the Brazilian market with emergency kits, equipment, and expert medical, security, and consulting services.
Dr. Paulo Alves, MedAire Global Director, Aviation Health, commented: "We are excited to join the LABACE community again this year and share our innovative products and services with attendees, including our MedLink and our latest DAK technology. MedLink is the pioneer of preflight and inflight medical services with live access to expert emergency physicians and they are trained in aviation medicine and altitude physiology. This combination makes MedLink unique and equipped to assist callers needing medical advice worldwide.”
MedAire's MedLink manages thousands of passenger fit-to-fly assessments and in-flight medical events every year and pioneered ground-based medical advisory services for airlines over 30 years ago. If a medical situation arises before the flight, crewmembers have access to critical care nurses for advice regarding the health of passengers before boarding. Once in the air, dedicated MedLink doctors are available for advice and assistance to help crewmembers prevent medical situations from escalating – or cope with them as they occur.
The innovative MedAire DAK was designed to enhance the assessment process and assist with in-flight emergencies by effectively providing accurate and reliable diagnostic results. The DAK equips crewmembers with vital tools to assess and mitigate various medical situations. The most significant advancement is the easy to use 12-lead ECG recorder that provides adequate information to doctors to assess a heart condition.
