PC-12 PRO receives Safety Autoland certification

A smart safety solution for critical situations

Safety Autoland is engineered to respond when it matters most. In the event of sudden pilot incapacitation, such as a medical emergency, the system can be activated at the press of a button or automatically engage if pilot inactivity is detected.

Once activated, Safety Autoland assumes full control of the aircraft and immediately notifies all occupants that an automated landing sequence is underway. It simultaneously analyzes a wide range of data, including weather conditions, aircraft status, navigation information, terrain, and fuel reserves.

Using this information, the system identifies the most suitable airport by evaluating factors such as runway length, wind conditions, weather, and remaining fuel. It then calculates a safe and efficient flight path while avoiding terrain and obstacles.

Throughout the autonomous flight, Safety Autoland manages all critical aircraft systems required for landing, including flap deployment, landing gear operation, lighting, and de-icing systems. It prepares the aircraft for a stabilized approach and safe touchdown.

The system also automatically handles radio communications, transmitting on the appropriate frequencies to keep air traffic control and ground personnel informed, ensuring coordinated support throughout the entire operation.
