VistaJet is Rockwell Collins' first business aviation customer to adopt Inmarsat's Jet ConneX providing the fastest broadband connectivity available.

Rockwell Collins is a value added reseller of the Jet ConneX service as part of its ARINCDirect offering. Jet ConneX is expected to be available globally in early 2016. It will support both voice and high-speed internet via Inmarsat's next generation of satellites, the Inmarsat-5s (I-5) over the Ka-band, which have more capacity, are globally available and are highly efficient in the use of bandwidth.

“Our customers are increasingly demanding faster and more reliable in-flight internet service as a routine part of their business travel,” said Nick Van Der Meer, chief operating officer, VistaJet. “With the ARINCDirect service, VistaJet passengers will be guaranteed the connections they need.”

“As aircraft capacity increases and passengers use more devices, Rockwell Collins will enable early adopters like VistaJet to provide a reliable global solution with the highest level of bandwidth to meet their customers' needs,” said David Stanley, vice president, ARINCDirect Cabin Services for Rockwell Collins.

ARINCDirect provides business aviation operators with the single most comprehensive portfolio of flight support solutions in the industry including flight planning, regional and international trip support, cabin connectivity and flight operations management.
