Satcom Direct (SD), the aviation connectivity solutions provider, has signed an exclusive agreement with TAG Aviation (UK) Ltd to incorporate new connectivity services and technology across its UK fleet. The deal will build on the existing business relationship which has seen the two Farnborough UK-based companies collaborate to provide TAG Aviation customers with a reliable connectivity service for the last eleven years.
Under the terms of the new agreement, SD will extend its latest technologies for in-flight connectivity. These include voice and data solutions which will ensure TAG’s fleet stays connected at all the phases of flight, wherever the aircraft are operating around the world.
“TAG Aviation (UK) Ltd prides itself on providing the highest quality services to our clients and part of this service necessitates a robust connectivity system that enables the cockpit and cabin to stay connected. Passengers expect a full range of communication options and SD gives us that, which in turn gives us the confidence to support our clients’ needs. It also helps us manage our business effectively, which in turn adds value to our client offering,” said Greg Hoggett, Chief Operating Officer, TAG Aviation (UK) Ltd.
Once the integration of the new services is complete, TAG Aviation (UK) Ltd’s passengers and crew will have access to enhanced flight deck and cabin connectivity, communications, information and entertainment when travelling which will be provided through SD’s portfolio of software, hardware and support services.
“For operators, consistent and dependable connectivity is essential in winning and retaining clients. To support this expectation, we have created a suite of services that provides the operator with nose to tail connectivity to enhance their operations across the board. With this new agreement, we will continue to provide services to support TAG Aviation (UK) Ltd’s business, helping to ensure they can meet their clients’ needs, and their business goals,” adds Michael Skou Christensen, Regional Director, EMEA, SD.
