Silk Way Helicopter Services commercial helicopter airline has expanded its fleet with the newest AgustaWestland AW109SP helicopter with photo/video equipment, specialized for high-quality aerial photography. 

AW109SP helicopters are equipped with a navigation satellite system for all-weather operation. The glass cockpit of the helicopter provides excellent visibility.

The Gyro-Stabilized Systems (GSS) Broadcast series B512 Gimbal Camera – Ikegami HDL-F3000 in-flight photo/video camera with a resolution of 2.6 megapixels, with a wide viewing angle and built-in gyroscopic stabilizer allows high-quality photo/video shooting in all weather conditions and in any external lighting.

It should be noted that SWHS organized photo and video shooting from helicopter during the First European Games in Baku in 2015, Islamic Games in 2017, as well as the Formula 1 Grand Prix and the Tour de Azerbaijan cycling race annually held in the capital of Azerbaijan. 

Silk Way Helicopter Services is one of the most modern aviation enterprises in Azerbaijan. Every year helicopters of the company transport more than 50,000 passengers. At the moment a fleet of aircrafts, which is based at Zabrat Airport includes Sikorsky S-92A, Leonardo Helicopters AW139, Airbus Helicopters AS-332L1, Airbus Helicopters EC-155B1, Мi-8МТV-1, Мi-8АМТhelicopters, as well as Cessna 172S airplanes.
