Sky X officially opened the doors to its stunning new facility, setting a new standard for aviation throughout the Greater Gulf Coast region. Sky X is the region's only FBO offering FAA/DOT-approved maintenance, an AOG Rapid Response Team, an FAA-certified repair station and FAA Part 135 charter operations, all on-site. Prior to opening its new terminal, Sky X successfully began FBO operations late last year out of its existing avionics facility, building a reputation for personalized service and technical expertise.

The opening of the newly constructed FBO facility marks the completion of the first phase of a nearly two-year development project. The centerpiece of the new facility is a 10,000-square-foot FBO terminal thoughtfully designed to deliver an exceptional experience for pilots, passengers and crew alike. Upon entering the elegant new lobby, guests are welcomed into a space where contemporary design meets elevated comfort. Premium finishes and modern architecture create an inviting environment intentionally designed for both luxury and functionality.

The facility features an upscale passenger lounge, a fully equipped executive conference room with seating for 14 and full A/V, a private movie theater, a recreation lounge complete with a pool table, private shower suites, and a complimentary beverage bar. Supporting the terminal is a new 30,000-square-foot hangar providing secure, premium storage for both transient and based aircraft. The hangar is capable of accommodating a Bombardier Global 8000, ensuring Sky X can support a wide range of business aviation operations. Phase two of construction is slated for completion in fall 2026 and will feature two additional 30,000-square-foot hangars, each also capable of accommodating a Bombardier Global 8000.

President and founder of Sky X Aircraft Services, Rob Scariano commented: “Our new facility represents an exciting new chapter for Sky X and reinforces our commitment to delivering a world-class experience tailored to our customers' needs. From our modern amenities and expansive hangar space to our tailored concierge support, every aspect of our operation was designed with customers in mind. We look forward to welcoming them to the new standard of aviation service in Louisiana's Greater Gulf Region.”

Rob Scariano built the company into a premier full-service aviation provider on the Gulf Coast, including its latest expansion as Hammond Northshore Regional Airport’s newest FBO option. An Air Force veteran whose passion for aviation began at age 18, Scariano has built a career that includes credentials as a commercial pilot and flight instructor, along with airframe and powerplant ratings. His military experience and deep aviation expertise continue to drive Sky X’s commitment to professional service, operational excellence and customer care.

As an Avfuel-branded location, Sky X provides customers with lucrative rewards with AVTRIP and competitive prices with Avfuel Contract Fuel. Customers also benefit from transaction ease when using the Avfuel Pro Card at the FBO with the ability to put everything—fuel and non-fuel items with or without a fuel purchase—on one transaction, avoiding processing fees.
