StandardAero recently completed its first certified ADS-B solution for an Embraer Legacy 650 aircraft at the company's Los Angeles International Airport MRO facility.
Along with the ADS-B installation, StandardAero also completed a full Wide Area Augmentation System GPS upgrade. Both upgrades were performed through Embraer Service Bulletins.
"We continue to see an increasing number of requests for our affordable ADS-B solutions for a wide variety of airframes," said Jerry Sanders, Avionics Product Director for StandardAero Business Aviation. "As a result of these recent upgrades, this Embraer Legacy operator now meets the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) and Eurocontrol's 2020 ADS-B mandate."
Benefits from this system will provide increased fuel efficiency through better aircraft routing along with increased safety and situational awareness for business aviation pilots.
StandardAero provides a variety of avionics, cabin management and connectivity capabilities via its network of service providers. The company is factory authorized by the majority of avionics manufacturers and provides in-house engineering design, system integration and installation capabilities along with an FAA Organization Designation Authorization.
