Online charter specialist Victor has seen a 336% uptick in charter requests to the Alpine skiing region.

The company’s data looks at all private jet requests to European airports that offer transfers to ski resorts.

Destinations in France saw the most activity with Chambery, the nearest airport to a number of Europe’s top ski resorts, seeing an increase of over 155% in charter requests.

The company’s data also found that Val D’Isere was still a popular destination for Ultra High Net Worth Individuals, despite it having recently gained a reputation for unruly behavior.

“The ski season is well and truly upon us, what with a significant number of private jet charter requests coming from our members for travel to key ski destinations like Chambery and Val D’Isere,” said Clive Jackson, ceo and Founder of Victor, “The increase in booking requests compared to last season is no surprise. Flying private with Victor means avoiding the busy main hubs and having the run of numerous regional airports putting you within an hour of most resorts. Thanks to Victor’s end-to-end booking service, fliers can be on the slopes quicker than ever – even if they book at the last moment. The time saved can often add an extra day’s skiing. We’re looking forward to helping members get the most out of their winter holidays.”

The strongest single day for charter requests followed fresh snow fall in the region on January 3. The next day Victor saw a 155% increase in charter requests.
