Weston Aviation achieved ISCC (International Sustainability & Carbon Certification) for ISCC EU.  By achieving ISCC EU compliance, Weston Aviation is ensuring full traceability of sustainable aviation fuel throughout the supply chain and are now in a position to issue Proof of Compliance documentation to our fuel customers effective for all fuel purchased from 22nd September 2025 onwards.

To comply with the Certification process, Weston Aviation is fully committed to maintaining a robust and fully ISCC-compliant management system. We recognise the critical importance of adhering to the ISCC standards, which ensure environmental, social, and economic sustainability throughout the entire supply chain. Our system is designed to guarantee full traceability of sustainable material and accurate application of the mass balance approach.

We ensure that all biomass and waste-based fuels supplied comply with ISCC sustainability criteria, including land use restrictions, biodiversity protection, greenhouse gas emissions reduction and respect for human and labour rights. Our internal procedures include regular audits, staff training, and data verification processes to uphold the integrity of our ISCC certification. By aligning our operations with ISCC regulations, Weston Aviation actively contributes to the development of a credible, transparent, and responsible global bioeconomy.

Jack Boyle, Head of Operations at EnviroSense International Ltd. commented: "As the ISCC auditor for Weston Aviation, it was great to see the team’s clear commitment to sustainability and transparency. Their proactive approach to compliance and traceability really highlights their dedication to driving progress in the use of sustainable aviation fuel."

Ruth Tootill, Weston Aviation’s Aviation Fuel Manager stated: The benefit for Weston Aviation becoming ISCC certified is so that we do not break the chain of custody, so that where our ISCC certified supplier provides a PoC for SAF, we offer traceability by passing our own PoC on to our customers.  It also demonstrates our commitment to our customers and suppliers to support the progress of sustainability in aviation fuels.”

Since 1st January 2025 all Jet Fuel across the UK (and Union airports within Ireland) now contains a minimum blend of 2% SAF calculated on a mass balance basis.  Weston Aviation requires ISCC Certification to allow trading of PoCs (Proof of Compliance documents) which are provided by ISCC certified suppliers detailing the SAF blend supplied and which operators require for reclaiming under offset schemes.
