The topic of crisis of the pilot shortage and aviation mechanic shortages is very mutch discussed. The logical question is - what should be done, what action will give immediate results, what actions will be long term investment. In our opinion, events for youth, giving them the inspiration and  motivation to become later an aviation professional are more than important. It is something we can call long term investment. Here is one of events, which is smaller then an enorgmous international airshow, however exctly this type of event gives every country future pilots, engineering people, air traffic controlers.

The 10th annual Planes, Trains, & Automobiles event sponsored by Stahl Insurance and Nationwide will take place at the Plant City airport. The Plant City Chamber of Commerce organizes this annual event to showcase the exciting aviation, automotive and train industries. Children ages 8 to 17 will be given the opportunity to receive a free flight with the EAA Young Eagles. Spaces are limited, and children must be preregistered to receive the flight.  Jason Jones created this family-friendly event to celebrate the aviation industries. "We didn't want to do just another air show but a more static event where the kids can walk up and see the exhibits," Jones said. People of all ages have the exciting opportunity to see planes, model trains, and vintage cars up close.

The 2020 Planes, Trains & Automobiles event will take place on Saturday, February 22. The event is free to attend, parking is only $5, and the fun educational experience is priceless. Nationwide and Stahl insurance are the proud title sponsors for the event.

For the past 10 years, this event has been a doorway to the aviation industry. Many previous attendees have gone on to further their aviation education through local colleges, universities, or enlisting in the U.S. Air Force. Local aviation schools will also be in attendance to provide information and answer questions about their programs. Other activities at the event include Scouts BSA merit badge opportunities, Cub Scout activities, computer flight simulators, remote control planes, an interactive planetarium, and a children’s moonwalk play area. There will be live music, food vendors, and fun for the whole family. For more information, visit www.facebook.com/PlanesTrainsAutos/
