After having received the Fliegermagazin Award for Best New Aircraft 2016 and being nominated for the Austrian National Award Design 2015, Diamond Aircraft's DA62 has been awarded with the German Design Award Special 2017.
The German Design Award is an international accolade awarded by the German Design Council. Initiated in 2012, the German Design Award is among the most distinguished design competitions in the world and is held in high esteem among professionals within the industry as well as consumers. The selection process for winners is stringent with a unique nomination system to ensure that only products and communication design services that truly demonstrate outstanding design quality are invited to participate.

We are happy, that it is also highly valued by acknowledged design experts. For the production of our aircraft, we use state-of-the-art materials, mostly carbon fiber. This allows us to increase enormously the safety of our planes, but also to create exceptionally elegant and aerodynamic designs.
