As awareness grows about AfBAC EXPO, Africa’s first ever dedicated business aviation conference, expo and static display, the event organisers are pleased to confirm that the Italian inspired ballroom at the Montecasino property, in Johannesburg’s upmarket Sandton area, has been selected as the venue for the conference. The one day convention to be held on 29 November, is the first day of a three-day event that will include workshops, a static display of aircraft, and an exhibition showcasing leading suppliers in African business aviation.
The Montecasino site has been selected for its spacious capacity which will comfortably seat more than 200 delegates, the venue’s secure access, and the team’s ability to handle a high volume of international business executives. It also offers a selection of restaurants, bars and entertainment areas around a Tuscan inspired square.
A range of hotels including the five-star Palazzo Montecasino, and mid-range Southern Sun Montecasino and SunSquare Montecasino establishments are just a twenty-minute drive from Lanseria Airport where the subsequent two days of exhibition, static display and workshops will take place through 30 November and 1 December. AfBAA has arranged delegate pricing with the hotels which means for those that like to maximise their budgets advanced commitment will ensure early bird pricing.
The conference Chair will be Alan Peaford MBE, editor of African Aerospace, and long-time aviation veteran. Using his wealth of African aviation knowledge, he will inspire dynamic debate and discussion around this year’s hot topics. He will also be joined by guest speakers and panel hosts who will bring a new perspective on familiar topics.
“This is already shaping up to be African business aviation’s most exciting event of the year, one not to be missed. We are really looking forward to having Alan chair the event as he always knows the thorny issues that need debating. We’re also looking forward to welcoming our biggest audience yet and anticipate the exciting venue, the early bird pricing and the vision of the event will encourage stakeholders to sign up early. It will be three days of intense knowledge sharing, information gathering, comfortable networking and a lot of fun,” said Rady Fahmy, AfBAA CEO.
