Emirates Flight Training Academy (EFTA) is participating in Bahrain International Airshow 2018 which kicked off today. This marks the first participation for the Academy at an air show outside Dubai, with their Very Light Jet (VLJ) Embraer Phenom 100EV on display for visitors.

The Academy has an innovative approach to training with cadets first learning to fly the single-engine piston Cirrus SR22 G6 aircraft and then directly progressing to the Embraer Phenom 100EV, providing the cadets with more experience on jet aircraft, giving them a head start for multi-engine commercial airline operations. The Embraer Phenom 100EV jet incorporates state-of-the-art avionics and the industry’s first ever touchscreen glass displays, smart automatic systems, and graphical flight planning capabilities.

“EFTA’s presence at the Bahrain International Airshow, one year after the launch of the Academy, is testament to our commitment to the development of the aviation industry in the region and the nurturing of talent both in the UAE and around the globe.” said Captain Abdulla Al Hammadi – Vice President Emirates Flight Training Academy.

The Emirates Flight Training Academy is a world-class flight training facility located near Dubai World Central (DWC) airport in Dubai South. The state of the art facility is spread over an area the size of 200 football fields with state-of-the-art technology and equipment. This includes 36 ground school classrooms, ground-based simulators, an 1800 sq. m dedicated runway, an independent air traffic control tower, a maintenance centre, modern training aircraft fleet, a fully operational private airport, accommodation and recreational facilities for cadets.
