Dassault Falcon gave some updates during the interview on 10th International Business Aviation Exhibition Jet Expo-2015, which started yesterday in Moscow, unveiled two business jet: Falcon 7X and the Falcon 2000 LXS, as well as a full-size mock-up of the newest Falcon 5X. BizavNews were able to talk with the head of Dassault Falcon Communication department Vadim Feldzer, who spoke about the prospects of the French manufacturer in Russia.
According to Mr. Feldzer, Russia's share in the overall international supply of French manufacturer is more than 10%, and according to optimistic forecasts of Dassault Falcon analysts,in the nearest future these figure will at least still the same, with a slight increase over the next five to seven years. This forecast is due to the launch of innovative models of the manufacturer.
Now Russian company's clients operate about 60 of Falcon aircraft, the most popular of them is still Falcon 7X (more than 20 aircraft and the third fleet in the world). Mr. Feldzer did not disclose figures of the current Russian clients order portfolio, he just said that Dassault are completely satisfied with the volume.
Substantial expansion of manufacturer the product line due to the emergence of new jets in the popular segments will help to raise the share of Dassault Falcon in the total Russian fleet. Talking about future models- Falcon and Falcon 8X, Mr. Feldzer mentioned regarding the actual start of sales of new aircraft to Russian customers. "While this is a great mystery, but I can open up quite a bit of it - already in 2017, Russian customers will get their first Falcon 8X and it is gona be more than one aircraft. The situation is similar with Falcon 5X. I'm not willing to give more information, but I am sure that our new jets will be quite competitive. "
Some updates on the certification process of Falcon 8X - three prototypes totally have "flown" 250 hours of the scheduled five hundred. Fully customizable 8X will be presented for the first time after six weeks in Las Vegas as part of NBAA-2015. First flight of Falcon 5X we could expect October this year.
By the end of 2015 Dassault Falcon plans to supply to customers around about 70 business jets globally.
