On September 14 and 15, a high-level aviation conference, Riga Aviation Forum, will gather European and Baltic aviation leaders, managers and experts of the most influential companies in the industry . First day will be dedicated to strategic and industry approach to future development of Baltic aviation. ACI Europe, IATA, Eurocontrol and Baltic aviation leaders will discuss the strategic development of the industry in all three Baltic countries. Heads of industry’s leading companies will outline the solutions offered by the industry to today’s challenges, focusing on the innovation and efficiency on the way to sustainable and climate-neutral aviation, as well as discuss investment attraction issues.
Second day of Riga Aviation Forum will be devoted to the future development of aviation: multimodality, the creation of a new urban environment around air hubs and the challenges of urban mobility. Leading mobility innovation companies will discuss the challenges that await both urban planners and air traffic managers in the near future, creating an urban environment that meets the requirements of modern sustainability and multimodality and integrating completely new modes of transport into the existing air traffic system.
Toulouse based Ascendance Flight Technologies, will showcase its eVTOL ATEA prototype. ATEA is designed as a clean, quiet and efficient advanced air mobility solution: low-cost, low-noise, safe and sustainable aircraft for local and regional overflights. It is planned that the ATEA will be able to transport three passengers and a pilot and will reach a flight speed of 200 km/h, covering distances of up to 450 km. Ascendance Flight Technologies plans to manufacture air taxis, rescue and air cargo transport on this base in the future. The first exhibition prototype of the aircraft was created in 2018, the first autonomous flying prototype will be available in 2024.
In addition to the official program, the Riga Aviation Forum will offer extensive networking opportunities. Aviation and other industry entrepreneurs from all three Baltic States and representatives of European and international aviation institutions and organizations will participate in the forum.
