Diversity and internationality are the key themes of Helitech International 2015, which opens today at ExCeL London. Exhibitors from 23 countries will be displaying platforms, systems, components, equipment, materials and services that span a broad spectrum of the civil and parapublic rotorcraft sectors. Companies from Australia, New Zealand, Qatar, the UAE and South Africa join exhibitors from Helitech International's traditional European and North American markets.

Helicopter OEMs AgustaWestland, Airbus Helicopters and Bell Helicopter are using Helitech International to showcase their capabilities in platforms and support services. Aircraft from Enstrom, Guimbal, MD, Robinson and Sikorsky will also be on display on stands around the show. The systems, equipment and materials on display offers an impressive line-up of technology suppliers, featuring such major players as Airbus Defence & Space, Babcock, BAE Systems, Curtiss-Wright, FLIR, L-3 Communications, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Rockwell Collins and Saab.

In the power plant and components sector, Pratt & Whitney Canada, Rolls-Royce and Safran Turbomeca head up a powerful portfolio of suppliers. The interiors sector is also strongly represented, embracing such specialist areas as air ambulance and medivac. Exhibitors include Aerolite Max Bucher, Air Ambulance Technology, AS Aerospace, Farnborough Aircraft Interiors and Helicopter Italia.

Helicopter operations and management, including VIP and offshore, are being showcased by Air Corporate, Air Harrods, Eastern Atlantic Helicopters, Gulf Helicopters and Specialist Aviation Services, while global MRO suppliers include Heli-One, Patria Helicopters, RUAG, Standard Aero, Vector Aerospace and Zodiac Aerospace.

The importance of Helitech International as an arena for the display of latest training technologies and services is highlighted by the participation of such world leaders as CAE and FlightSafety International. Suppliers of financial and leasing services include Lombard, Milestone Aviation and Waypoint Leasing.

John Hyde, Event Director of Helitech International, said, "Helitech International presents a major opportunity for companies across the whole rotorcraft supply chain to engage with an increasingly international customer audience. The stature of our event has grown significantly over the past three years. The interaction between exhibitors and visitors on the exhibition floor has obviously played a key part in this, but so have our Business and Strategy Conference, the European Helicopter Association Rotorcraft Seminars and the Safety Workshop staged by the European Helicopter Safety Team and the International Helicopter Safety Team. This year we are also demonstrating our commitment to the future of the rotorcraft sector with the launch of the Learning & Skills Zone, an area that enables young people seeking a career in the industry to meet exhibitors on the exhibition floor in managed groups".
