Organisers of the Middle East and North Africa Business Aviation Association (MEBAA) 2017 have announced a new location at Marrakesh Menara Airport, from 12-13 September.

The 2015 edition saw 2033 visitors over its two-day run, viewing offerings from 57 exhibitors including the leading players in the business aviation market. It was during this show that discussions with the Moroccan government led to the show becoming a regular fixture in the country.

“With the success of the 2015 event, we knew that the market had a need for the show to return biennially,” said Ali Alnaqbi, founding chairman of the Middle East and North Africa Business Aviation Association. “With the move to a new city for the second edition, there is an opportunity for more exhibitors to be part of the booming North African business aviation market.”

The African business travel sector in Africa has expanded in line with the region’s growth in trade and Morocco is already firmly established as a regional hub, with Alnaqbi pointing out that around 50% of the region’s aircraft movements are based in the country.

The MEBAA Show 2017 is expecting more than 2500 visitors and 65 exhibitors, ranging from global industry heavyweights to local and regional companies, plus a static display of the latest business aircraft.

“We are thrilled to be returning to Morocco with MEBAA in 2017,” said Alnaqbi. “The move to the new location presents an opportunity for an increase in exhibitor numbers and facilities for exhibitors and visitors alike.”
