On September 18, the annual Riga Aviation Forum will take place at ATTA Centre in Riga, bringing together top aviation leaders, executives from major industry companies, and experts from across Europe and the Baltics. This high-level conference is recognized as the most significant aviation event in the Baltic region.
This year’s forum will feature hard-talk conversations and panel discussions where decision-makers, industry leaders, and experts will address the key challenges and emerging trends in aviation across the Baltics, Europe, and globally. Topics will include aviation sustainability, the application of artificial intelligence in aviation, business resilience, geopolitical risks, and civil-military cooperation.
Global aviation perspectives will be presented by Raymond Gruntins, Regional Director for Europe at the International Air Transport Association, Serkan Kaptan, Board Member of ACI Europe and CEO of TAV Airports, and Hamdi Nasser, representative of the European air navigation safety organization Eurocontrol.
A high-level discussion on the future of Baltic aviation will also take place, featuring minister of transport of Latvia Atis Švinka and representatives from government institutions and aviation organizations from all three Baltic states.

A dedicated panel, featuring a representative from Ukraine’s air traffic management organization UkSATSE, will focus on aviation challenges and civil-military cooperation amid global instability and rising geopolitical risks.
In addition to the official program, the Riga Aviation Forum will offer extensive networking opportunities. Participants will include aviation professionals and business leaders from all three Baltic countries, as well as representatives from European and international aviation institutions and organizations.
